This is a piece from my 100 days of painting live project on Instagram. It was the first painting I began under ‘Day 1.’
I first began this painting as a surface to swatch new paint colors with. It was out of the norm for me to go with the odd shapes and patterns that I’d unintentionally created by trying out new colors. This painting is the happy result of me letting go and following the intuitive painting flow.
Every single artwork that I create has the edges painted. I had to include extra photos of the edges for this piece to show the amazingly colorful wraparound.
